Aloha kākou!

We’re excited to formally introduce our latest collaboration with the good dudes at noRep Boardshorts, a local business that’s picking up a lot of steam in their 5 years in the business. We dug deep into our archives and pulled out a classic pattern that we’ve only ever used on tank tops, patiently waiting for a perfect opportunity like this to resurface. This time the pattern is executed beautifully on our newest bottom, the FITTED + noRep Alakaʻi Boardshort.

With noRep’s help, we set out to create the perfect traditional boardshort. No frills, no gimmicks—just a solid, well-made product that can be worn for Hawaiʻi’s everyday lifestyle. It’s made from the same thicker, durable, non-stretch fabric used in traditional boardshorts, which makes it perfect for any activity in and out of the water.

Our Alakaʻi pattern is boldly featured in green and black, with the waistband and right-side velcro pocket subdued in black. The drawstring offers a nice contrast in our signature 116 Pantone color, and also features repeating noRep branding in clear gel to keep your knot secure. The 116 color travels to the inner waistline, which also proudly displays the “noRep x FITTED” cobranding. We added our Lēʻahi patch to the lower left side along with our Pacific Standard label centered on the back waist band. Other details include a lycra fly, noRep branding on the eyelets and pocket flap, and an elastic key loop within the pocket. The fit is true to size, and will be available in sizes 28–40.

The FITTED + noRep Alakaʻi Boardshort is limited to only 150 pieces, and will be released exclusively at our Kona Street location. noRep will also be releasing a very limited amount on their website at a later date.

Releasing tomorrow, Dec. 7th

Aloha kakou!

Another big release set for tomorrow: First and foremost, we present to you a brand new Kamehameha called Mau Loa which translates to Everlasting or forever. The entire cap is cool gray and composed of melton wool, with a white Kamehameha logo and red sweatband inside. Next up is an all black Oakland A’s with a red logo and red eyelets. Coinciding with these two hats are two v-necks: we brought back our Alaka’i graphic in a white v-neck with navy blue print and a black v-neck with all over gray tonal nene geese; the bottom left has a red crest hit. Last but not least is our Fatbackin’ tee, a tribute and throwback to the funk band Fatback (Band) in red with black print.

The Alaka’i Wilderness Preserve, located on the island of Kaua’i, is also known as the Alaka’i Swamp, although it’s not a swamp by true definition. For those who are interested in hiking this beautiful trail, it can be accessed via the the Pihea Vista trail, located on the the Pu’u o Kila lookout on Waimea Canyon. This release represents the lush forest of Kaua’i and all other forests and jungles found throughout our ‘aina. Our Alaka’i tanktop features a lush, green jungle print on the front and back, backed with black. This next v-neck tee features an inside out Polynesian print that runs throughout the entire shirt.
