Aloha kākou!

With the kau wela (summer) season now winding down, we are proud to present the final release of our Summer 2016 Aholoa Collection, dropping this Saturday.

Aholoa translates to “long breath” in Hawaiian, and to us, we think about the summer sun and our hopes that the sun holds its breath so that we can keep enjoying its ever-giving life before having to sink into the ocean. The Aholoa collection is a tribute to the summer sun and the memories made during this beautiful season, through the use of new stories, designs, and materials. A running theme this season is celebrating the old school street car culture we witnessed as keiki during the summers. Old school Datsuns, VWs, and lifted Toyotas, cruising all around the island or just cruising in a secret random parking lot, creating a party every time.

We’ve introduced two new patterns specifically for the Aholoa collection as well. Finish Line is a car-inspired pattern that resembles a checkered flag, but with niuhi tri-lock shapes making up the black squares. DPICT (Disruptive Pattern Island Camouflage Triangle) Camo combines our two proprietary camouflage patterns—Island Camo and Tri-Camo—into a seamless woodland-inspired camouflage, with highly stylized island shapes in the foreground and subtle Tri-Camo in the background.

This season, we’re also showcasing our first full collection of cut and sew silhouettes, built to live as timeless sportswear pieces, using high-quality material selections with intricate subtle details and constructed to the highest standards. These silhouettes will form the foundation of our entire cut and sew program, ushering in a new level of design technique as we continue to strive for the best quality product for our customers.

King of Tantalus Snapback
This bold New Era snapback features a new King of Tantalus design on the front, which consists of an O’ahu silhouette in black with a white inner outline, along with the letters FTD in the middle and a red Tantalus course outline. A King of Tantalus Grand National race patch is stitched to the wearer’s right side, which contains a yellow/red diagonal background, “200” and “116” in the top corners representing the two signature colors we use, two Finish Line flags, a mongoose illustration as the racing mascot, the Tantalus course outline in the middle, and “FITTED” at the bottom. The front and side panels of the hat are red, with the back two panels making a statement in an all-over Finish Line pattern. The visor and top button are black, while the eyelets and back snap enclosure are white. It also features a red and white back crest, yellow New Era logo and inner sweatband, and an ASD Flag label next to the snap enclosure.

EasyEasy A-Frame Snapback – Black, Red, or Yellow
The summer vibe encapsulated in one phrase: “Easy Easy.” The mood is chill and everyone’s relaxed—no stress, no worries, just cruise. That’s what summer meant for us growing up. Now as adults we look forward to those days off where we can enjoy the same feeling, so we created this hat as an ode to summer and that easy easy vibe. Made in three colors—black, red, and yellow—all hats feature the phrase “EasyEasy” showcased across the front in white, written in the style of the old school car logos we saw growing up. All three hats also feature a tonal New Era logo, white back crest, white snap enclosure, and kelly green undervisor.

FITTED FOR KOLTEN WONG & ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

Releasing this Saturday, July 16.
The Kolten Wong PE Home Snapback (red) will be available exclusively at FITTED (in-store and online).
The Kolten Wong PE Away Snapback (navy) will be available in-store, online, and at select stockists.

Kolten Wong

Kolten Wong

Kolten Wong

Aloha kākou!

It gives us great pleasure to announce a collaboration of major league proportions—we’ve teamed up with the St. Louis Cardinals, one of the most successful baseball franchises in history, and Hawaiʻi’s own Kolten Wong, a local boy making big headlines as part of the Cardinals team. We’re completely honored to have the opportunity to work with Kolten in order to create a piece of franchise history with an officially licensed Kolten Wong PE (Player Exclusive) St. Louis Cardinals New Era snapback, which comes in special Home and Away versions to be released exclusively through FITTED and select stockists around the globe.

As a Kamehameha Schools alumnus and college baseball standout with the University of Hawaiʻi Rainbow Warriors, Kolten Wong was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2011 MLB draft, and was promoted to the major leagues two short years later. In May 2014, he was prestigiously named the National League Rookie of the Month, cementing his status as a force to be reckoned with on the field.

Some of you may recall that almost a month ago, FITTED co-owner Ola was invited to fly up to St. Louis on behalf of Kolten and the Cardinals with the distinct honor of throwing the first pitch at their June 17 home game. The first 30,000 attendees at that game also received a free limited edition Kolten Wong Cardinals replica jersey, which we had the privilege of designing especially for that event. The jersey featured a custom-made Hawaiian print pattern, reminiscent of vintage Hawaiian shirts, in place of the classic solid red. Those who received the jersey got a taste of our deep-rooted collaborative relationship, culminating in tomorrow’s release of Kolten’s Player Exclusive New Era snapbacks.

The Kolten Wong PE snapback comes in two colorways, red for “Home” and navy for “Away.” The Home version features a full red crown with a natural woven visor to tie back to his Hawaiian roots and the art of lauhala weaving, while the undervisor showcases the colorful pattern that was created especially for Kolten’s replica jersey. The St. Louis Cardinals’ official monogram logo is embroidered on the front in navy blue and outlined in white, while the side New Era logo, side crown, and eyelets are all stitched in white. On the back, Kolten’s last name is stitched in navy blue and outlined in white, with his jersey number 16 appearing in white and outlined in navy blue. It also features a white snap enclosure and Hawaiian flag/ASD tag, as well as navy blue inner sweatband and top button. The Away version is identical to the Home version except all the red and navy blue colors are swapped, inspired by the tradition in sports to have separate home and away jerseys.

The red Kolten Wong PE Home snapback will be exclusive to FITTED, releasing solely at our flagship store and online store this Saturday, July 16 at 11am HST.

The navy blue Kolten Wong PE Away snapback will be released both at FITTED (in-store and online) and at select stockists this Saturday, July 16.

As an added bonus, Kolten has been kind enough to autograph 32 Home and 32 Away hats, with 16 of each color releasing at our flagship store and 16 of each color releasing online. The first 16 orders of each color online will automatically receive a special autographed hat. The first group of people in line at our shop will have the opportunity to purchase an autographed hat.

To be able to combine our Hawaiian heritage with an internationally known and respected baseball club in the midwest is truly an honor, and we’d like to send a big mahalo to New Era, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Major League Baseball organization for this tremendous opportunity.

AHOLOA

Aloha kākou!

With the kau wela (summer) season in full swing, we are proud to present the fourth release from our Summer 2016 Aholoa Collection, dropping this Saturday.

Fasi Snapback & Keiki Fasi Snapback
We’re releasing a matching pair of Fasi snapbacks—one for the keiki and one for the adults. Both Fasi hats share colorblocking that ties back to our summer theme, with a red crown and contrasting yellow gold visor and top button. They feature black and white embroidery on the front and back, with tonal embroidery on the wearer’s left side. It also contains a white snap enclosure.

Basin Premium Tee – DPICT Camo
The Basin tee represents our staple premium tee, built with superior sweat-absorbent, quick-drying material that’s soft to the touch. The most unique detail of this tee is the large triangle gusset on the back. A triangular morale label is sewn into the yoke to the left of the gusset top point, and it includes a yellow all-purpose detachable toggle cord. A small FITTED logo printed in the center. Small red triangle gussets are sewn into the bottom side seam, creating a unique signature look. Another triangular piece of red fabric is sewn into the inner back collar, with a branded spec label seamlessly molded into it. A sizing/care label is sewn on the inside, near the wearer’s lower side. The Basin tee also features a straight front hem with a slightly scooped back hem.

Dark to Dawn Tee – Black or White
This new tee features Fitted written out in script reminiscent of fonts used on classic cars. The script is filled with the same retro floral pattern that was seen in our Good Morning design. The black tee uses cooler colors on the front with a blue crown on the back, while the white tee uses warmer colors on the front with a yellow crown on the back.
