CYBER MONDAY

Aloha kākou!

First we’d like to mahalo everyone who took time out of their week to stop by the shop or shop online for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday! Without you all, we wouldn’t be able to keep doing what we do for as long as we have! Mahalo mahalo mahalo!!

The last of the holiday shopping days is upon us, good old Cyber Monday! This year, we have a special release—a private label Aloha snapback, custom-made to our exact specifications and crafted here in the USA. The Aloha snapback features a black crown with white embroidery, white top button, and white snap closure. The pièce de résistance is the visor, which is dipped in our Kālā pattern for a nice, subtle pop of color.

FITTED FOR THE FILM HAE HAWAIʻI AND ʻIOLANI PALACE

PROCEEDS FROM THIS COLLECTION WILL GO TO SUPPORT THE ONGOING INITIATIVES AT THE ʻIOLANI PALACE AND THE FRIENDS OF ʻIOLANI PALACE.

A capsule collection, celebrating Lā Kūʻokoʻa day, along with the film “Hae Hawaiʻi” and ʻIolani Palace. Hae Hawaiʻi, or as we like to refer our definition, “Slaps Wind.” Inspiring the love for our Islands, our people and the never-ending connection to our past.

Releasing are a bucket hat, snapback, bandana, pin, two tees, and a hoodie. Inspired by the handmade quilts of the latter part of the nineteenth century that displayed the Hawaiian Flag. Part regalia, part hidden resistance, our kupes always provide! Hundreds of kanaka wore hatbands designed with the words “Kuʻu Hae Hawaiʻi” after the overthrow of Liliʻuokalani. This particular reference displays its cantons upside down as a sign of distress; found at the bishop museum archives, it was said to be a gift from Queen Liliʻuokalani to a newlywed couple. A powerful form of identity then and now we fly our hae High, for Hawaiian independence. E welo mau Kuʻu Hae Hawaiʻi – May our Beloved Flag Forever Wave!! Slaps wind forever, forever ever!

Hae Hawaiʻi film director Ty Sanga says I Ka Wā Ma Mua, Ka Wā Ma Hope. Film is a powerful medium that helps us understand our past and imagine our future. Hawaiʻi’s rich and complex story is often overlooked for its exotic beaches and ice-cold mai tais. This historical re-imagining was inspired by pivotal moments in Hawaiʻi’s history to help ignite one’s journey to seek the truth.

The year 2018 marked 125 years since the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. In a coup with the help of U.S. forces, power-hungry men succeeded in removing Hawaiʻi’s last Queen. This film is a reminder of the many patriots who fought for justice during those final days.

Aloha kākou and Happy Thanksgiving!

FITTED FOR SCOTT HAWAII

There is an unspoken rule: arriving as a guest in one’s house requires you to hemo those slippers! It is highly likely you may have taken home a new pair of what seemingly looks like your trusty old pair, only to have a slightly off hump that doesn’t fit right! Everybody knows Black Scotts. Shout to the braddahs Common Kings! Either on purpose or unknowingly, conscious or unconsciously, one name in the slipper game reigns as the dinner slipper of the islands. Scott Hawaii has been a family-owned and operated local business since 1932! The shoe manufacturer established student work programs in the 30ʻs, answered the call in the 1940ʻs when supplies were in shortage during World War II. They began supplying the islands with slippers and sandals, departing from their heavy-duty work shoe roots. The Scott family continues to provide quality footwear classics referred to by some as “The Dinner Slipper!” Whether you are heading to the beach, store, or family pa‘ina, Scotts got your wāwae protected!

You may notice 2005-2015+1 on some of our correspondence this Holiday season. Deciding since our 15th anniversary got edited, we took a page out of the 2020 Olympics and re-racked the table. Why not, right? Fifteen years is certainly worth an extended conversation! We look at the past with eyes of admiration and make ready to puka from these strange times. The thought of making it this far is satisfying, although the yearning for the unwritten experience is mush more tantalizing! The love and support for all of you that continue to support FITTED keeps us fueled for 15 more rotations! Me ka ‘oia’i‘o.

Along with the FITTED for Scott Hawaii Arc of Fifteen slippers, we’re also releasing a unique Arc of Fifteen New Era 9FIFTY snapback, FITTED for Scott Hawaii Rapid Transit tee, Arc of Fifteen lanyard, and a set of metal pins.

The Arc of Fifteen snapback features the Arc of Fifteen pattern underneath a full black mesh construction, along with a felt crest patch on the front, white embroidery, white snap closure, and a yellow and black Arc of Fifteen pattern on the undervisor.

The FITTED for Scott Hawaii Rapid Transit tee features an illustration showing off the slippers on the back with co-branding on the front, printed on a black tee. The Arc of Fifteen lanyard features branding on the inside and the Arc of Fifteen pattern on the outside, and the set of pins include some of our most iconic logos in approximately 1” width.
