For all our our SoCal folks, San Diego (Lemon Grove) specifically, check out one of our accounts, Goodlife Tattoo! Goodlife offers that island feel atmosphere where you can get great tribal work done by Tha Kuya or Brandon, grab a FITTED and feel right at home. I still have yet to get some work done by either of them but it is looking like it is about that time. Goodlife also carries product from our ohana Cukui. Whenever you are in the area, check them out, get a tat and pick up a hat! Tha Kuya, whats good?! I need to get some work done!

Aloha kākou!

This Saturday we will be releasing a special Camouflage Islanders pack, consisting of two FITSTRIKE H Pride snapbacks and a new Islanders tee in black. The first H Pride features a scarlet red crown with brass embroidery around the front, side and back. The uppervisor is cloaked in woodland camo while the undervisor and top button are done in black. A white snap enclosure finishes the look. The second H Pride features a black crown with a visor dipped in woodland camo. The front H Pride logo is stitched in white to match the back snap enclosure. Also features black crest embroidery on the back and alpine green side New Era logo and eyelets. A black Islanders tee completes the set—a customer favorite that we’ve brought back in a new way. The front features “50” in white and the “Islanders” script with woodland camo fill and white/red outline. On the back we see “FITTED” above a large “50,” also filled with woodland camo and outlined in white/red. Our crest is displayed on the left sleeve and the crown with two of King Kalākaua’s crossed swords underneath are displayed on the right sleeve, both sides in white.

The entire Camouflage Islanders Pack will be available in-store and online, while Blue Hawaii Surf will be the exclusive retailer for Islander tees outside the shop.

To go along with the Islanders pack, we’ve just released a new cap carrier by New Era in our store which will also release online shortly. This cap carrier falls in line with the pack above, sporting a full woodland camo neoprene body. It also features grommeted eyelets for breathability, zippered closure, removable shoulder strap, and rubber handle for easy carrying. The carrier holds 6 hats comfortably but has the room to fit several more.

DOMO WOULD GO

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 by

So I took Domo on a little hike today around the eastern most corner of our island. I consider it to be the most rugged coastline on Oahu and definitely not a hike to go on with out a guide. Luckily for Domo I just happen to be quite familiar with the area as I have been coming here since I was her age. You do the math.

The hike starts at the Makapuu Lighthouse where it veers off the paved path and begins to descend a very steep and very rough trail. Many loose rocks to pay attention to and Domo drew blood almost immediately after a slight misstep. She took a quick dip in the tide pool to sanitize her scratches before we left the tourists behind and began to trek towards my favorite part of the hike which is always without people. Not too many souls willing to risk life and limb to view the unspoiled coastline.

It was about a 3 hour hike and Domo tried her best not to be impressed with what was around each bend but I am certain that on her long flight back to the beast coast she will undoubtedly be reminiscing about the blood, sweat and tears she spent conquering the hike of her life thus far.

MEHANA TIME

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 by

1

I’ll keep this short because you already know a good time was had by all when the Tongans and Hawaiians get together to celebrate a first birthday. The two sides of baby Mehana’s ohana came together in classic island style to throw a damn good baby luau! The homemade food was only out done by the most festive money dance I have ever bore witness to. The amount of love that was being showered on baby girl was remarkable. Congrats to Nate and Ulu on the big day.

RECAP OF AGENDA LONG BEACH

Saturday, July 19th, 2014 by

IMG_9030

Last week Thursday, I took the first flight out to LA and pretty much spent like 30 hours in LA/Long Beach to check out the Agenda Trade Show. A quick in and out trip to meet with some of our wholesale accounts, potential accounts and to network and keep the channel of communication from Hawaii to the mainland strong. It was also good seeing some of the homies whom I haven’t seen in a while, kill it at the show. This show did seem a little busier and more packed then the last one in Long Beach, but last one, I was just at our booth all day showing, so that could be the reason why. But we should be showing again soon, stay tuned!

RE2PECT

Tuesday, July 15th, 2014 by

I am in no way, shape, or form a New York Yankee fan, but growing up playing shortstop, I followed shortstops like Royce Clayton, Nomar Garciaparra, A-Rod before he was juicing and of course Derek Jeter. Tonight was his last All-Star game, he’s definitely had a great career and it is only fitting that he gets the “RE2PECT” he deserves.
