OLD SOLE, NEW TRICKS: XXX NEW YEARS EDITION
Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 by JJ ParkzWINTERTIME IN PARADISE
Saturday, December 28th, 2013 by CuzzoClassic Aloha Friday in paradise right here. Captain Sky threw out a last minute invite for an afternoon at the sand bar yesterday. Capri and I dropped everything we were doing and headed straight to the pier. Countless new dolls from Santa and a healthy stock of christmas dinner leftovers were not enough to keep us indoors. As we all know not much pleasures us more than being outside and more specifically in or around the water. We arrived with a dropping tide which is key when planning any trip to the sandbar… really hard to play pordagee horseshoes on top of 2 feet of water. As each of the other boaters left one by one eventually we had the entire place to ourselves for a few special moments. Kinda hard to beat considering it’s the end of December and most of the mainland is rocking long johns and beanies. – RM

CUDA
Monday, December 23rd, 2013 by CuzzoDate – 12.19.13
Day – Thursday
Location – Westside, Oahu
The day started with a bit of caution as we encountered thunder and lightning on the drive out west. Met Sky at the harbor before dawn to check the conditions and were informed of high surf, an approaching front and small craft advisories..oh boy! We waited for first light and then made a quick decision to give it a go… seeing as we been up for a few hours already and definitely didn’t want to drive home with our tails between our legs. Left the harbor and headed right, the front passed further and further away with each passing minute and the conditions just keep getting better and better. Loaded up on some Aku at the point and then headed a bit deeper since the water was glassing off nicely. Ran into a huge porpoise pile holding what appeared to be really big shibis but couldn’t get a bite… shit I was feeling like this could be the day that the Capri M. would land her first Ahi but no such luck. Circled back to point and took a strike on the long rigger which turned out to be a nice size Barracuda. Since Sky nor myself have acquired a taste for fresh cuda we set him free after a quick snappo. A massive rain squall began to appear over the mountains and made it quite apparent that it was time to head home. What a day. – RM

HOLIDAY 2013 D2 “WE SWIM WHERE THE SEA IS DEEP”
Sunday, December 15th, 2013 by FITTEDReleasing in-store and online Tuesday, December 17th, 2013.
Aloha kākou!
In Holiday D1, we took it to the sky as we showcased our ʻio inspiration and our airborne creed “We Donʻt Fly Half Fast.” That unique hawk eye perspective is what we focused on for our theme and carried the message across the entire collection.
For Holiday D2, we chose to flip the perspective and show you another view that we idealize. In keeping with our military theme, we switch from Air Force to Navy as we embark on the vast blue sea. As humans, it is a natural instinct to want to explore what’s around us. We’ve discovered new lands, traveled to the moon, identified new stars in the heavens, yet the unknown will forever remain. We’re willing to take that risk and lead the path untraveled. This is our perspective. We chose the niuhi (any shark over 10 ft. long) as our morale patch to portray our Naval creed “We Swim Where The Sea Is Deep,” which signifies our desire to keep innovating and pushing forward into new territories.
Instead of splitting this delivery into multiple parts, we decided to switch it up and drop the entire collection at one time for you. Check out the extensive D2 collection below, which includes hats, tees, sweaters, womenʻs tops, and kidʻs tees as well. Most clothing pieces feature our special mil-spec label.
“Swim Deep” Snapback
Features our new niuhi on the front, with our tri-camo pattern printed all over, done up in black, niuhi gray, off white, and infrared. The snap enclosure, New Era logo, and side crown are black while the back crest is black and white.
Aloha Fitted
An all navy nylon ripstop 59FIFTY with the Aloha, eyelets, and back crest in white embroidery. The side crown and New Era logo are black, while the undervisor and top button feature the tri-camo pattern.

RED MUA, “PORTLOCK” TANK TOPS, AND “CROSS THE SEA” SNAPBACK
Thursday, December 12th, 2013 by FITTEDReleasing in-store and online Saturday, December 14th, 2013.
Aloha kākou!
For this Saturdayʻs release, we wanted to drop a small yet powerful collection of items worthy of a prime release date right in-between the Holiday ʻ13 deliveries. We will be releasing two new hats and a classic tank top done up in new colors for both men and women.
“Mua” Fitted
A bold red 59FIFTY with black to white gradient Mua on the front and a full black visor and black button. A white crest and red crown complete the look.
“Portlock” Menʻs and Womenʻs Tank Top
Our popular Portlock design in white ink on a black tank-top, with red embroidered crest on the front and crown on the back. Because of the special full-body screen printing technique, every shirt is unique and will feature slight variations in ink coverage.
“Cross The Sea” Private Label Snapback
A slight throwback as we revive our “Cross the Sea” design from our Fall ’13 collection. The design and concept meant a lot to us so we decided to bring it back on a private label 5-panel snapback. For those that recall, the inspiration came from our ancestors who used to navigate strictly based on nature. The front of the hat sees a manu (bird) surrounded by 8 feathers, representing the cardinal directions, in the shape of a sun. “Navigators of the Unknown” sits at the bottom in script while the concept message arches along the back of the hat: ʻAu i ke kai me he manu ala (To sail across the sea).
