SKY HIGH

When most people think of going to an air show thoughts of nightmare parking, hot sun, long lines and overpriced food and beverage come to mind. Enter the RedBull Chalet at the Kaneohe
Marine Corps Base Air Show fully equipped with free pupu’s and drinks. Miss Maria kept the RedBull vodkas flowing and DJ Eskae was bumping the Chromeo. There was a whole bunch of shit going on outside the private area but we never made it that far, choosing instead to lurk in the shaded chalet. It was definitely cool to be that close to aircraft flying by at 400mph. Not a bad way way to spend a Saturday if you ask me. Big mahalo’s to Mr. Rob for the invite.

PIHA LIMA x SAN DIEGO PADRES

Releasing tomorrow, Sept. 28th

Aloha kakou,

Tomorrow’s release features a new tee plus a new custom San Diego Padres fitted. The tee, called Piha Lima (handful) features universal sign language which spells out Fuck You in tonal black. No real negative undertones here, it’s just one of those dope shirts which is more a conversation piece. If someone walks up and asks “What does your tee say?”, you can have fun with it! The hat is a SD Padres: all black with yellow SD logo.

ROOTS IN WATER

I have been passing by this watercress farm for over 20 years and always wondered how they could hang on to their little oasis amongst all the development around them. Now I know.

PATERNAL INFLUENCE

Please sit back and enjoy this artistic medley from the one and only Elvis Nigeria aka Pops. This is a great insight in to the mind that shaped a good portion of my life views. To say I was surrounded by unconventional art from a early age would be a mild understatement, looking back now in retrospective I must say that Pops was definitely ahead of his time and still is. Always conflicted with his responsibility to take care of his wife and family Pops put down the paint brush numerous times through out his lifetime but always came back to his one true passion. This collection of extremely personal pieces spanning nearly 4 decades should be a inspiration to us all to never give up on our dreams.
