New trilocks t-shirt in silver with white trilocks on the front. White crown on the back, ASD hit on the right sleeve and crest on the left sleeve. Speaking of trilocks, have y’all noticed the trilocks getting more and more shine now? I mean damn, MTV is using it as a transition effect for their ads. Seems like they’re all over the place these days. Just stating facts. Along with the trilocks tee is a custom, Hardwood Classics Dallas Mavs hat, dipped in blue with white logos and a gray brim.

We’re back again paying tribute to one of the greatest adult entertainment bars East of Wahiawa, where a younger Mimi Miyagi once made a few appearances. Although the club is no longer there, the neon marquee sign still hangs up top next to Nikki’s Arcade. The details on this pack are as follows: a black pocket tee featuring the crest on the front pocket with a “Club Hubba Hubba Hawaii” graphic printed in white on the back. Along with it is a custom Cooperstown Detroit Tigers cap dipped in all black with a teal “Tigers” logo, orange eyelets and topped off with a yellow button and underbill.

[Keanu Asing was the only surfer voted on to both teams by the fans. Luckily for the South Shore, Asing decided to punt big airs for the Town team.]

The South Shore team represented at Sandy Beach by winning the Red Bull Rivals and edging out the North Shore on Saturday. This event was an invite-only pro surf contest that looked more like a Labor Day beach party; Brazilian-bikini-clad booties lined the shore. Red Bull guzzling groms pounded cans of carbonated beverages under the big, blue tent. DJ’s spun the latest jams, including several leaked tracks from Jay-Z’s unrealeased album Blue Print 3. BBQs fired up in the parking lot. The pro surfers flared up in the 2-foot, shifty wedges.

An east swell provided contestable, shoulder high peaks for the both squads across the treacherously shallow Half Point reef. This wave is a notoriously, tricky surf break with late takeoffs and sketchy sections over coral heads, but it couldn’t stop the Town team from edging out The Country 17-15.

Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. We’re back again with another graphic driven tee that reaches into Hawaiian history, and for the most part, has a place in politics as well. Sugar cane, introduced to our islands reportedly in 600 AD by Hawai’i’s first occupiers, was once a dominating, leading industry – turned into a bustling booming business by entrepreneurs Samuel Alexander and Henry Baldwin (Alex & Baldwin). Eventually, other sugar-production corporations manifested themselves, including Theo H. Davies & Co., Amfac, Castle & Cooke and C. Brewer & Co., which ultimately shaped itself into a commanding conglomerate known as The Big Five. The political issues arise from the prominence of a rising economic powerhouse located in the middle of the Pacific, in due course leading to more business and political opportunities that some believe led to the overthrow of our monarchial government. If you sit down, reflect and really look at the situation, there is some truth to it – without the rapid introduction to such controlling industries, there would have never been the need to bring in outsiders to police and regulate said industries; everything else follows in succession. It really is a bittersweet (pun intended) situation. On one hand, without the sugarcane industry would equal to less cash flow for our state; considering the specific climates needed to grow sugarcane, only certain regions are able to sustain the environment needed for growth and cultivation. On the other hand, no sugarcane industry might have very well thrown a monkey wrench into the gloomy situation of having our state illegally overthrown, and who knows where that would have landed us today.
